Sweet potato v. Yam
Yams are rarely available in the United States. In the supermarket, you will generally see what is technically a sweet potato labeled as a yam.

specifically, that photo reminded me of this one.
Two summers ago, we rented a little house just off the Oregon coast and the hydrangeas there were outrageous. It was wonderful and relaxing and gorgeous…we should go back.
this is the first Thanksgiving i won’t be spending with my family, and it just sort of hit me that I won’t be with my family. I’m happy to be spending the holiday with friends, but i just got a little sad :(
